Empowering youth by fostering resilience, purpose, and personal growth
through prevention education, inclusive support systems, and safe spaces.
What is Spark?
Strength – Inner power and confidence
Purpose – Knowing your “why” and setting goals
Awareness – Understanding risks and making informed choices
Resilience – Bouncing back from challenges
Knowledge – Gaining tools to stay safe and succeed
Who Spark Serves
SPARK serves youth in grades 3–8 through weekend prevention and resilience-based programming. The initiative includes group activities, clinical learning sessions, and community partnerships.
After completing 8th grade, participants can apply to help support the program under staff supervision — building leadership and mentorship skills.
Curriculum
SPARK uses evidence-based prevention and social emotional learning programs to help youth build healthy habits and confidence. Curriculum includes Positive Action (character and wellness education), SMART Moves (decision-making and goal setting), and Too Good for Drugs (interactive prevention and communication skills). Each component fosters resilience and empowers youth to make informed choices.
Support Tracks
SPARK offers two supportive tracks to meet each participant’s needs:
Track One: For youth managing stress, bullying, or mental health challenges
Track Two: For youth affected by substance misuse in their families
Cost
SPARK is offered at no additional cost to families beyond yearly Club membership
