NASHUA, NH – The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua’s SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) group is calling on the community to support a Hygiene Drive in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. From January 13 to 31, the public is invited to donate essential hygiene items, which will be assembled into care kits and distributed to local nonprofits to help those in need.
Suggested donation items include:
- Shampoo & Conditioner
- Body Wash & Soap
- Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
- Mouthwash & Dental Floss
- Menstrual Products
- Shaving Cream & Hairbrushes/Combs
- Deodorant & Lotion
Donations can be dropped off at the main entrance of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, located at One Positive Place in Nashua.
“This hygiene drive offers a powerful opportunity for our community to unite and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families facing difficult circumstances,” said Kaitlyn Bannister, Director of Social Emotional Wellness. “In the spirit of Dr. King’s enduring legacy of service, we invite everyone to contribute, no matter how small the gesture, knowing that every bit makes a difference.”
Students Against Destructive Decisions is a national non-profit dedicated to the safety and wellness of all students. Using 40 years of expertise to facilitate educational and engaging programming, SADD operates through school and community chapters (like student clubs) dedicated to advocating healthy decision-making. SADD was founded on the simple philosophy that young people, empowered to help each other, are the most effective force in prevention.
