Character & Citizenship

As a youth development organization, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua encourage all of our members to be productive citizens in their communities by getting involved and giving back to their Club and community.

Each day, our Club offers opportunities for members to demonstrate good character – by being a good friend, helping another member with an issue, acting as a mentor, or getting involved in community service. Club members can build their self-esteem and recognize the value of others through a variety of leadership programs, including Keystone Club and Torch Club. They work as a group to make a positive impact on their communities while forging a strong bond with their adult advisors.

Members are encouraged throughout the year to give back to their Club and community in a variety of ways, including park cleanups, book drives, beautification projects at the Club, as well as hosting activities for all members.

Good Character & Citizenship Programs throughout the year can include:

  • Character & Leadership Development

Members participate in a number of community service projects, including park cleanups, helping at Summer Fun events, and provide good will services throughout the community.
