Dolphins Swim Team
Team messageThe Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua Swim Team is an Age Group squad currently comprised of 93 swimmers, and over the last course of the last two seasons the team has amassed a 20-5 dual meet record. We compete in the NENEAPC Boys & Girls Club Swim League where our record was 10-1 last season, taking third place in the League's Division. Our Fall season runs from September through April, culminating in the Boys and Girls Club Nationals in St. Petersburg, Florida. Last season the team managed to take 24 swimmers to the National meet. Each and everyone of these swimmers worked hard over the course of the season and admirably represented our team. Over the last 15 years the team has had the pleasure of having 14 swimmers come home from the Boys and Girls Club Nationals sporting 24 National Championship titles. These swimmers include Gene Anderson, Lori Berube, Tim Boire, Matt Carpenter, Brandon Conceicao, Olivia Conceicao, Ryan Conceicao, Lisa Hammond, Brendan McLaughlin, Matt McPherson, Jamie Millard, Maureen O'Leary, Noelle Pulomena, Shantelle Richards and Seria Mullin.
The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua Swim Team prides itself in helping youngsters develop self-esteem, along with a solid knowledge of swimming. In addition we have been able to add an impressive array of Boys and Girls Club swimmers to the Alvirne, Bishop Guertin, Campbell, Milford, Nashua North and Nashua South High School Swim Teams. |

BGCN SWIM TEAM MARATHON FUNDRAISERThe Boys and Girls Club Swim Team is holding its' annual swim marathon fundraiser. Thank you in advance for your support. The fundraiser is an annual event; please remember participation is required for all swimmers. This year the marathon will be swum on Monday, November 17th and Tuesday, November 18th. The marathon will start promptly at 6pm and end at 9 pm. There will be 30-minute time slots posted at the club, which swimmers need to sign up for. There will be no practice on these nights; swimmers will be credited volunteer time instead. Swimmers will swim for the entire half hour. A poolside counter will be stationed at each lane. (An excellent opportunity for parents to accrue volunteer hours). The swimmer may swim any stroke or in any style they choose. Remember, one lap is counted as swimming to the 25 yard end and back to the start. The swimmer may, and should, collect pledges before the marathon. Pledges may be a set amount per lap or just a flat donation. Additionally, swimmers may collect pledges after they swim. Money will be due no later than Friday, December 19th. Money can be turned into Bonni Schumann, Becky Mullaly, or any member of the coaching team. (Please have donors make checks payable to BGCN Swim Team PA). There will be prizes for the top boy and girl lap swimmers in each age division. When the swimmer reaches the required $75.00 minimum of pledges/donations, their name will be entered into a drawing for a mall gift certificate! The pledge sheet is attached. Please have your swimmer start collecting pledges as soon as possible. Remember, by having your swimmer seeking pledges in advance, the $75.00 minimum is more easily obtainable. Also, please have your swimmer bring their completed pledge sheet to the marathon on the night of the swim, to be shown to a marathon official. The sign up sheet will be posted poolside.
