Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What does the Boys & Girls Club provide for its members?
In every community, boys and girls are left home each day to find their own things to do after school. Each year, an increasingly high number of youth are left home with no supervision or care. Our Club offers our members:

  • A safe place to learn and grow
  • Ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals
  • Life-enhancing programs and character-developing experiences
  • Hope and opportunity

Each day after school and during the summer, members at our Club have a chance to enjoy a variety of activities that help them to learn and grow.

Do you offer any after school programs?
We offer a variety of programs for youth ages 5 to 18 at our facilities.

We offer a state-licensed program at our Grand Avenue facility, called Kids Club, for children ages 5 to 8.

Our drop-in program at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua Grand Avenue facility is open to all youth ages 8 to 18.

We also offer after school programs at the following sites:

  • Pennichuck Middle School, Nashua, NH
  • Elm Street Middle School, Nashua, NH
  • Fairgrounds Middle School, Nashua, NH
  • Litchfield Middle School, Litchfield, NH
  • Mastricola Upper Elementary School, Merrimack, NH

What is the Club’s mission and purpose?
The mission of our Club is " to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

We focus on youth development and work with our members to build their self-esteem and confidence so that they can gain social competence and the skills needed to pursue their dreams.

The Club offers a wide range of activities including an aquatics program, a computer lab with broadband Internet connectivity, visual and performing arts, photography, social recreation (pool, foosball, four square, board games, tournaments), sports (including traveling wrestling, volleyball, soccer, basketball and floor hockey leagues). Our leadership groups provide our youth an opportunity to get involved in community service projects, build their self-esteem, provide an opportunity to give back to their Club and peers, and develop into model citizens.
